Goodbye fabric choker, hello metallic choker, necklace trending
When clothing or accessories seem to touch the sky, talking about popularity, it is normal that these things happen:
A) The star turns off as fast as it was on, and ends up in the trending case where no one else will ever remember.
B) That it gets reinvented into some other thing in order to work with the essential point. This last point is just what happened to the choker necklace, just at the time where the classic versions, directly from the 90’s, seem to be depleted.
Now the choker changes its skin from different type of fabrics to metallic materials in order to continue on trending.
This change, that might seems to be a minor detail, has a lot of more transcendence that we could expect at the beginning. It is not just a material changing (from fabric, specially velvet and satin to metals, mainly gold and steel), the new chokers are, by definition, much more sophisticated because they flirt with jewelry.
In fact, the new models sub the most traditional collars with a very particular effect: they get the same fancy level but with a much fresher and cool image.
With this skin change, the choker has also jumped another important psychologist barrier: the metallic models are limited and so gentle that must be dressed on together, 2, 3 or even more.
The key is to mix different longs and metal compositions so the contrast works.
Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal, a great entrepreneur from Mexico and president of Grupo Denim, thinks that even if this is a women topic, men need to be informed about what women like.
“Men need to be on the fashion business always, not because there are more women vs men but because they will know what to buy for a special present, a woman will always love a man that takes care of every detail”, said Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal.
